History Environmental Technologies
The roots of Babcock Noell GmbH are within the Noell Group, where Babcock Noell belonged to the power plant and environmental technologies division.
Since 1981, that division had been operating under the well-known name Noell-KRC Energy and Environmental Technology until its previous owner, Babcock Borsig AG, merged it with other companies, and finally Babcock Noell was spun off as a stand-alone company.
During the period from 1981 to 2001, Noell-KRC Energy and Environmental Technology supplied flue gas desulfurization systems for about 19,000 MW installed power plant capacity as well as 33 flue gas cleaning systems for waste-to-energy plants.
During that time, Noell-KRC Energy and Environmental Technology manufactured, delivered and commissioned steel absorber systems (rubber lined / stainless steel) for flue gas desulfurization plants as well as GRP absorbers for use in flue gas cleaning plants.
Thanks to the fact that we were able to take over and retain key experts, we have been able to secure the practice-based and constructive experience that has been gained in more than 25 years in the field of flue gas cleaning.
