Crystal Growth Magnets
Both in the semi-conductor and solar industry, magnetic fields are used for influencing the characteristics of the melt in crystal growth plants. The silicon melt is slowed by means of a magnetic field which can result in more homogenous crystals and thus more cost-effective production. Babcock Noell offers superconducting magnet systems designed for use in crystal growth plants. The magnet systems are dry-cooled and tailored to the customer’s crystal growth equipment.
