DEMO-Coil for W7-X
The DEMO coil is a prototype of the geometrically most complicated of the five non-planar coil types. During the construction of the DEMO coil, the most relevant production procedures for the serial coils were developed and tested. The testing experiments at the research center in Karlsruhe conducted in 1999 confirmed all the properties of the DEMO coil that had previously been calculated in theory.
