Stainless Steel Liners
Hot cells often feature stainless steel lining to comply with tightness specifications and to make decontamination easier. The liners are designed, manufactured and fitted according to customer specifications for the respective application. Special loads such as elevated temperatures during incidents and earthquakes are considered in the design.
The lining sheets are welded to a sub-structure which is embedded and anchored in the cement wall. The sheet thickness depends on the respective mechanical loads and, if applicable, on pre-defined differences in pressure. If necessary, welding seams can be connected to a leakage monitoring system.
Babcock Noell also supplies relevant fittings and equipment such as bulkheads, contactors, shielding bars, stairs, panels, and shielding doors.
